Quartzsite, AZ – One of Quartzsite’s major winter landmarks over the past 20+ years has been the big tent housing the Quartzsite Sports, Vacation & RV Show which opens Jan. 17th, 2009 for their 26th show. By far the largest structure in Quartzsite, the "BIG TENT", not only got bigger when the promoters added 40,000 sq. feet of inside exhibit space in 2006, in 2009 they will be using three individual structures for their 3 big shows. Covering almost two acres of carpeting under canvas, the "BIG TENTS" are also the home to two other shows. The 10th Annual Hobby, Craft & Gem Show will open on Wednesday, January 28th with over 200 exhibits. An array of unique clothing, jewelry items plus many other interesting products will be on display. There will be demonstrations of do-it-yourself craft items and many products for the home and kitchen. Since RV’ing is the major hobby in Quartzsite, there will be many RV related exhibitors that will be doing both the RV Show and the Craft Show.
On the last two days of the Craft show, Saturday & Sunday, Januar 1st and February 2nd, 100’s of hot rods, street rods, muscle cars and classics will converge on Quartzsite for the 11th Annual Quartzsite Rock & Roll Classic Car Show. These beautiful and unique vehicles will be displayed under and around the "BIG TENT" along side the Hobby, Craft & Gem Show exhibits over that weekend. There will be commercial automotive exhibitors and several special exhibits too.
Located just South of I-10 on Hwy 95 in Quartzsite, both shows are open from 9AM to 5PM daily. Admission and parking is FREE.
